Inc. has an immediate opening for a Certified Industrial Hygienist
for our office located in Washington DC. Responsibilities will
encompass guidance and coordination of safety and industrial
hygiene programs. The qualified applicant will support existing
contracts with Federal, State and Local Government agencies,
including the U.S. Department of State, General Service
Administration, and Department of Defense. EDUCATION:
BS or MS degrees in Industrial Hygiene, Public Health or
related science field. SPECIAL
REQUIREMENTS: Certified
by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as a Certified
Industrial Hygienist. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) a plus.
Knowledgeable
in Government regulations, professional association
recommendations, risk communication, public outreach and
negotiations.
Ability to
operate Industrial Hygiene Monitoring Equipment.
Experience
in consulting is highly desired, Federal program experience is a
plus.
Lead
Risk Assessor Global
Consulting, Inc has an immediate opening for a lead/hazardous
materials inspector and Risk Assessor for our offices located in
Washington DC and Maryland. The qualified applicant will support
existing Federal, State and Local Government contracts. These
projects will involve supporting a broad range of
environmental/industrial hygiene projects. These duties include:
Collecting air, water, soil, vapors, gases, and dust samples or
other potentially toxic materials for analysis. Conducting field
inspections using a Niton XRF Conducting exposure assessments,
indoor air quality assessments, risk assessments. Developing and
recommending appropriate controls for occupational health hazards.
Keeping up to date with all new regulations pertaining to EPA,
HUD, OSHA, AHERA and industry standards. Serving as a third party
inspector and oversee abatement/renovation contractors. Preparing
reports, designs, specifications and presentations for client.
EDUCATION:
BS or higher degree in industrial hygiene, environmental
or related science preferred plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
SPECIAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be computer literate with knowledge of MS Office.
Excellent
communication skills to support frequent client interaction.
Strong
report writing skills are required.
Experienced
with hazardous materials inspection & abatement protocols
preferred.
Knowledge of
Lead/Asbestos regulations is preferred.
DC/MD
Lead inspector & risk assessor license. preferred.
AHERA
training preferred. |
